Olten was my start for 2009 where I followed part of the Aare route to Bern and Interlaken before crossing the Grimselpass to Gletsch. Due to bad weather on the Furkapass I used the car transporter through the Furka tunnel to reach Hospental. From there I crossed the Oberalp pass to the Rhine valley before heading south over the Passo del Lucomagno to Locarno.
This ride took me along sections of Route 8 - the Aare, Route 34 - Alter Bernerweg, Route 2 - the Rhine, Route 36 - Blenio to Lucomagno and Route 3 - the North South route.
